Fall in Spanish pork exports


In June 2024, Spain’s pork exports increased by 4%, reaching 99,139 tons compared to 95,360 tons in June 2023. However, year-to-date exports have dropped by 3.5%, with 656,766 tons exported compared to 680,378 tons in 2023. Pork accounts for 85% of Spain’s meat export category.

Spain’s main market, China, saw an 11.5% drop in pork imports, while other markets showed growth. Japan’s imports rose by 3%, the Philippines by 19%, and Great Britain by 7.4%. Meanwhile, South Korea followed China’s decline with a 14% decrease in imports.
